If your car did not pass an emissions test, the Check Engine lamp was illuminated due to an emissions-related fault. This lamp is connected to an OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) system designed to alert drivers when something in the emission control system begins to deteriorate or fails. You must have the underlying fault repaired at a recognized repair facility and have the system reset prior to retesting. Emissions repairs can involve something as simple as a leaky fuel seal, be caused by a defective engine component, or involve expensive renewal of the catalytic converter.
Erin Auto Care is recognized by the state of Wisconsin as a VIP Emissions repair facility, and we are authorized to stamp emissions inspection documents.
