Q: How long will my car last?
A: Modern vehicles that are regularly maintained, garaged, and driven can be expected to exceed 200,000 miles without extensive drive line repairs. Several of our customers are driving vehicles with more than 300,000 miles.
Q: My car is old. Should I spend more on repairs than it is worth?
A: It is a misconception to use the “worth” of the car in evaluating the value of a repair. The dollar value of a car will not be enhanced by repair efforts. However, if a repair will give you another 10,000 to 50,000 miles of reliable transportation, for substantially less cost than any other alternative, this value may be more than worth the cost of repairs to you.
Q: What type of maintenance expenses can I expect after my car reaches 100,000 miles?
A: It has been our experience that maintenance and repair bills will typically total between $4000 and $9000 for the second 100,000 miles of a vehicle's life. Large SUVs and specialty vehicles will be more.
