Q: My air conditioner does not get cold enough. Can you just recharge it?
A: No. Federal and state regulations prohibit us from installing refrigerants into a system with a known leak.
We are required to perform certain steps to locate a leak. If no leak is found, we are allowed to install a fresh charge of refrigerant.
If a leak is detected, it must be repaired before refrigerant can be added.
For the smallest leaks, a re-inspection after 7-10 days may be necessary to detect the leak. We do not charge for this re-inspection.
